Ping G15 Hybrids

If you have digested my profile then you will know I am a massive PING fan.  In fact the only club I have in my bag, which isn’t Ping is my 56 degree Taylormade wedge. Although there are new ranges from Ping I bought two hybrids from the G15 range to compliment my driver, which I love, so didn’t need the feel to buy from the new range.

I had another hybrid in my bag but just wasn’t for me. I didn’t feel confident with the club and therefore was not hitting it particularly well. It therefore left a few shots out of my bag that I needed for the long Par 3’s and the 170 yard plus shots.

I bought the 17 degree and the 20 degree and what lovely clubs they are. A lot of the reviews on the internet score them down for not having great looks but score the feel and trajectory as super?? They look fine from my eyes and the offset gives great confidence from tight lies. A large internal toe pad expands the perimeter weighting which actually makes it PING’s most forgiving hybrid ever. The unique shape of the stainless steel hybrid features an iron-style face and hosel design which positions the center of gravity closer to the face to increase launch angle and reduce spin.

The long shots to the green no longer require me to drill a low iron which oftens ends in a poor strike so having these in my bag is fantastic. Another reason why it would have to take something amazing to get me away from using PING…to be honest I cannot ever see that happening…

Do you have or use PING clubs? Let me know what you think…
