Round Review – 28/12/2013 (Littlehampton Golf Club)

Well Christmas is now over, in a blur as usual, so time for us to hit the course again. Because of all the wet weather recently, we haven’ played nearly as much golf as we’d have liked over the festive season.

It felt good to get back out on the course again. The only thing missing was Stuart. We started early as always and we all played the first hole well finishing with a 5 each. I managed a 4 on the 2nd hole to put myself ahead on points after the opening 2 holes.

After a 3 each on the 3rd, we had all started really well and had a good amount of points, which hasn’t always been the case in recent weeks.

We all continued in good form on the opening 9 holes with me leading the way with a good 21 points, followed closely by Paul on 19 and Neal was at the back with 17. I was quietly confident that it wouldn’t be my review this week, as long as I kept my steady game going.

That wasn’t to be the case! Paul had an incredible back 9. He got a par on every hole except the 18th, where he had a bogey. Great shooting Paul!

2 bogeys from me on the back 9 didn’t help my scoring as we all ended up with 39 points, but I had the worst back 9 so lost on count back.

It was great to be back out on the course again and I can’t wait for the next round. The banter was excellent as always. If you ever want to play a round at Littlehampton Golf Club, you are always more than welcome to join us. We love having guests. Just get in touch and we’ll get it orgainsed.
